Terms of Service

For every Eadiefleet product · Last updated August 02, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Eadiefleet Corporation, a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada ("Eadiefleet", "we", "us"). They apply to every product and service we run — including Sidereal, Community-IO, and MerlinID — to the communities we build and operate for other organisations, and to this website. Where a product or a community publishes rules of its own, those apply in addition to these terms and say which part of them they vary.

By creating an account, paying us, or otherwise using one of our products, you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use the products.

Your account

You need an account to use most of what we make. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to your email address, since that is usually how we verify it's you. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got in.

Accounts belong to people, not to job titles. You may not share one account between several people where a product's pricing is per person, and you may not sell or transfer your account without asking us first.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 13 years old in any case. Some products and some communities set a higher minimum age — often 18 or 19 — and where they do, that age applies instead and they say so before you join. Where a community requires it, you may be asked to verify your age before you are let in, and we may refuse or remove an account that we have good reason to believe is under the required age.

What you may and may not do

The short version: use our products for their intended purpose, don't harm other people with them, and don't try to break them. In more detail, you may not:

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where the breach is serious or ongoing — and particularly where somebody is being harmed — we may act immediately and explain afterwards. Otherwise we'll tell you what's wrong and give you a chance to fix it.

Content you put into our products

What you write, upload, and create stays yours. We claim no ownership of it. You grant us only the permission we need to actually run the service: to store your content, back it up, transmit it, and display it back to you, to anybody you've deliberately shared it with, and — in a community — to the other members you posted it to. That permission lasts as long as you leave the content there, and ends when you delete it, except for backups that age out on the schedule in the privacy policy.

Where a product accepts images or video, they are scanned automatically on upload so that unlawful and prohibited material can be caught. The labels that scan produces are kept, which is what lets a community apply a changed rule to what is already there without examining everybody's uploads again.

You are responsible for having the right to put your content where you've put it. Where a product sends your content to a third party in order to work — for example, Sidereal sends what you ask the Seer to Anthropic's API so it can answer — the product says so plainly, and our privacy policy lists every such provider.

We don't use your content to train machine-learning models, and we don't sell it. Ever.

Communities

Some of what we run is a community: a place where members post to each other rather than only to themselves. Community-IO is that product, and we also build and operate communities for other organisations under their own name. In either case there are two different relationships on this page at once, and it matters which one you are in.

If you are a member, these terms are between you and us, and the community you joined has its own rules on top of them. Its rules can be stricter than ours and usually are. Breaking them can get you removed from that community by the people who run it, and that is their decision to make, not ours.

If you are an operator — an organisation whose community we host — you are responsible for your community's rules, for moderating it, and for the lawfulness of what your members post. We give you the tools; we are not your moderation department. You will keep your own published rules for members, tell them how to report a problem, and act on reports within a reasonable time. Anything else we've agreed with you in writing sits alongside this and, if the two disagree, the written agreement wins.

We can remove content or suspend access ourselves when something is unlawful, breaks these terms, or puts other people at risk, and we will act immediately without notice where somebody is being harmed. We would always rather tell an operator and let them handle it, and that is what we will do wherever there is time to. We do not read private messages looking for trouble and we do not moderate what has been reported to nobody.

A community's content belongs to the people who wrote it, not to us and not to the operator. If an operator leaves us, we will help them take their community's data with them, and members keep the right to export or delete what is theirs either way.

Reporting content that shouldn't be there

If you find something in one of our products that is unlawful, infringes your copyright, or breaks these terms, write to support@eadiefleet.com with enough detail to find it — a link, what is wrong with it, and how to reach you. For a copyright claim, tell us what work you say has been copied and confirm that you own it or are authorised to act for whoever does.

We look at every report a person sends us. We will remove what should be removed, and where we can, we will tell whoever posted it what happened and why, so they can put it right or tell us we've got it wrong. Repeatedly posting infringing material will lose you your account.

To report abuse of our network or mail servers, or a security vulnerability, see the security page instead — those reach us faster.

Paying us

Not everything we run costs money, and not everything that costs money is finished. Some products are free. Some are in a beta where the product itself isn't for sale but members can pay for an optional membership if they want to support it. Where either is the case we say so plainly, and we will not begin charging an existing account without telling it first and giving it the chance to leave.

Everything paid is paid in advance, and there are two shapes of it. A subscription renews automatically — monthly or yearly — until you cancel it. A fixed term is bought once for a set number of months, runs out at the end of them, and renews nothing: there is no standing authority against your account and nothing for you to remember to cancel. Each product says which of the two it is sold as before you pay. Prices are shown on each product's own site, in the currency stated there, exclusive of any sales tax we're required to add.

How you paid decides how you cancel and how you're refunded

Our products take payment in more than one way, and which one you used determines what happens next:

Where a product offers a free trial, we say how long it runs and what happens at the end of it before you start. If we change the price of a subscription, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email and the new price takes effect at your next renewal, never mid-term. A change in price never affects a fixed term you have already bought.

Refunds

For anything billed by us: if something we sold you isn't what you expected, write to support@eadiefleet.com and we'll deal with it fairly. We would rather refund a disappointed customer than argue with one. For anything billed by Apple, Apple handles refunds under their policy.

Closing your account

You can close your account at any time from its settings, and export your data first. When you close it we delete your content on the schedule set out in the privacy policy. We don't hold your data hostage and we don't make you phone somebody to leave.

We may close your account if you break these terms, if you don't pay, or if we discontinue a product. If we discontinue a product we'll give you at least 60 days' notice, a way to export everything, and a refund of any unused prepaid time.

Availability, and what we don't promise

We work hard to keep our products up, and we host them ourselves precisely so that we can. But we are a small company and we don't offer a contractual uptime guarantee on standard plans. Products are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind beyond those the law won't let us disclaim. Managed hosting customers under a separate written agreement have whatever that agreement says instead.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we'll email account holders at least 30 days before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page always tells you when it last changed. Continuing to use a product after a change means you accept the new version; if you don't, close your account and we'll refund unused prepaid time.

The legal bits

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction — without prejudice to any right you have as a consumer to bring proceedings where you live.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our not enforcing something straight away doesn't mean we've given up the right to.
